Salving House Weekend –14th-16th August

A few belated pictures from a FRCC meet at the Salving House in Borrowdale, now able to travel up to the Lakes on a Friday makes a big difference to dashing up Friday evening and will be even more welcome as the days grow shorter.  Great company and another opportunity to add a few more Birketts to our list on Saturday by heading up east of the valley past Dock Tarn and over High and Low Saddle, through the old quarry and onto Shivery Knott, Shivery Man and Middle Crag before dropping down to the tea shop at Watendlath for a nice cup of tea and a scone.  We then climbed up from the valley over Grange Fell and Kings Howe before dropping back to Rosthwaite where the meet adjourned to the Scafell Hotel for a pint or two : )
