Langdale Break – August

Very enjoyable few days mid week in Great Langdale with the girls, not that we would have known it was the height of summer with the weather.  However, the best was made of it and although mornings proved very wet the afternoons were better

Having completed a tour of the Langdale Pikes on day one, day two started poorly weatherwise, prompting a trip into Ambleside for morning coffee.  By the time we arrived back at Bishop’s Scale and had lunch there was a bit of respite from the rain and we headed up Rossett Gill to Angle Tarn.  From there the path up to Ore Gap took up up to Bow Fell where the rain came back on and we headed down to The Bank via Three Tarns.  We made the best of the weather, had a thoroughly good time – looking forward to the next time ladies Smile
