Coope’s Dozen

An eighteen mile roller coaster over the summits of the West Pennine Moors of which I completed 13 miles and six summits which gave me a good outing and test of my lower back which was no worse at the end of the run, so happy with that.  A few pics of the day which for once this summer blessed us with good conditions if a little bracing at times in the fresh breeze

Setting off – a good turnout, but like me many would complete their own selection of the route

Tuesday Night on… Great Hill

It’s Tuesday so it should be Winter Hill, but a change of plan for one week only and a run out with Bowland fellrunners over Great Hill.  Lucky not to get wet as there was rain all around, but just made it back to the cars yet again before the rain arrived.  Nice atmospheric conditions and sunshine on the sea at the Fylde Coast made for some good light for a few snaps :~)

Steve’s Joss

What an amazing day to remember with good friends and a truly inspirational man – Steve Cliff.  Steve was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in April he decided there and then to start fund raising for the charity MNDA starting with the completion of the JNLC ‘The Joss’.  Steve completed this 48m run across the Lake District climbing some of the major summits with an ascent of over 17,000ft in under fourteen hours.  Please donate if you are inspired by Steve’s story at his just giving page
